The Quote of the day : the Dalai Lama does not want to be Another Mubarak

I do not want to be like Mubarak

The 14th Dalai Lama

(Source)

The Dalai Lama said the following in international press conference after announcing that he will quit his political role to popularly elected leader !!

I have never thought that the Egyptian revolution would change the whole world like that , in fact I have never thought that Mubarak is too damn popular to set an example in that way !! Even the Dalai Lama who is considered a holy religious figure for millions in the world is now giving up his political role. Unlike Mubarak the Dalai Lama fought for the rights of the Tibetans and Buddhists through out the world and still he believes he can turn in to another Mubarak !!

FYI China does not like our revolution and fought the activists who tried to have their own lotus revolution offline and online. The great firewall of China filters all the material related to the Egyptian revolution.

The Dalai Lama already praised the Egyptian and Tunisian revolutions which he considered had this Gandhi’s spirit on February 18.

    Not true!
The events of the Egyptian revolution were shown on local TV stations during my daughter's stay in Shanghai four weeks ago.

  2. Please for the love of God don't use those western pretentious labelling lotus and jasmine who couldn't find a colour to call the revolutions after..the French revolution isn't called the perfume revolution or why don't we call the Russian revolution the caviar one?

this is an insult to the revolutions and the blood spilt in them..
it is not the lotus revolution, it's the Egyptian revolution, the 2nd one since 1919
there is no jasmine revolution, it's the Tunisian revolution.

    no wonder you're voting yes..pathetic
